Heaps of boulders strewn about the canyon--mostly cruddy but with some certifiable gems throughout. The rock is of a fairly routine, rotten desert granite (baked extra crispy), and like the rest of South Mountain, there is little shade or water to be found. It takes a kindly beholder to find much beauty here, and as such there is little climber traffic. Don't be entirely mistaken, however: some sick problems lurk in Pima.
